Do you need a Travel Agent for Disney?

Does it cost you more money when you book with a TA?

First off, let me just say when you book a Disney Vacation package, I do not charge extra for my services, not a cent. Whether you use a travel agent or not, when you look at those prices online or call to book a vacation, it is factored into Disney(and Universal) Vacation Packages already. Disney and Universal pays me, not you. When you book on your own, you’re not getting the most out of your money and a service that you could be getting for the same price as someone who booked using a travel agent. I am affiliated with Platnium Mouse Vacations, an authorized Disney vacation planning agency that has been “Earmarked” by Disney. It is family owned and their home office in Texas and my affiliation bringing it to Tennessee.

What you need to have planned before you check-in

  • Your My Disney Experience account needs to set-up and linked to other members in your travel party
  • Your resort reservation
  • Your tickets: how many days you be in the parks and which parks oyou go to on those days
  • You Fast Passes need to be selected 60 days in advance for guests staying at a Disney resort and 30 days for guests staying off-site
  • Dining Reservations open up 180 days before your travel date. The best ones go fast. Know what  you want before 180 days out
  • Special accommodations in place. Do you need a wheelchair, stroller rental? Are there medical accommodations that you need. Be sure these are noted and taken care of before you arrive.
  • A general outline of you day to day plans and a back up plan if things don’t pan out.

What I offer

Quite a bit. Disney World is expensive, there’s not sugar coating it. If your going to shell out a ton of money, let’s make a plan so you don’t miss out on any of the magic. What parks would you like to go to? All of them or just a couple? There’s 4 parks and 2 water parks, ya know. What about eating options? Did you know that there are multiple dining experience you can have inside the parks as well as at the hotel resorts? Wouldn’t it be nice to be eat a meal with Mickey and the gang, or rub elbows with Cinderella without having to wait hours for a table? I ask questions like these so you can have the best possible experience when visiting Walt Disney World.

I can make those types reservations for you if we plan ahead. We can even get some reservations on rides and attractions to lessen the wait times…and if your flexible with dates we can try to find a great time to go rather than following traditional school break holidays. Other services I can include for you:

  • Free Consultation and Quote
  • Dining Plan options and reservations
  • Ride and Attraction reservations through Disney’s Fast Pass+
  • Assistance with Park Ticket Option and Resort Rooms
  • Assist with Grocery/ Deliver Options to save some $ from the parks
  • Reservations for a princess makeover inside Cinderella’s Castle (other locations available)
  • Reservations for Pirate & Mermaid makeovers
  • Golf Tee Times available at Disney’s 4 golf courses
  • Stroller/ Wheelchair rentals
  • Relaxing Spa treatments available at select resorts
  • Transportation Options
  • Insider Tips and Tricks from the Pro herself…..me!
Anyone can book a Disney Vacation themselves but to get the most value for your money,  it requires a bit of research and strategic planning. If you’re a busy parent and don’t have the time to figure all of this out? This is what I do everyday!

There are many benefits to staying at a Disney Resort

Disney has over 20 hotels and resorts on their property and you may find some of the benefits worth it.
COMPLIMENTARY ONSITE BENEFITS ARE INCLUDED IN THESE PACKAGE OPTIONS WHEN YOU STAY AT A DISNEY RESORT:
  • Access to Extra Magic Hours which allows guests to enter the parks earlier than general admission guests staying off site. The parks on selected days will have extra hours in the morning or the evening. Not sure how to plan around this, that’s what I’m here for!
  • Free Transportation to the parks. Disney offers several different ways to get around on property: Buses, Monorail, Skyliner,  Ferry and Friendship boats, Free to all guests.
    • Magical Express transport to and from MCO Orlando airport. If you decide to fly, Disney will pick up and drop you off, all while watching cartoons as you head to your resort. Magical Express will discontinue after 2021.
  • Merchandise delivery from parks to resort. This is always nice if you don’t want to carry bags around the park all day.
  • Option to add Dining Plan. This is a really cool feature only available for Disney resort guests and I can go over it in more detail if interested to see if it is something that will work for you. There are a few options to choose from.
  • Free Parking? Alot of travel agents will tell you that parking is free at the parks for Disney resort guests and they are not wrong BUT like most hotels everywhere else, there is a parking fee for guests who are driving and staying at a Disney hotel resort. The resort parking fee is cheaper than paying the general parking fee at one of the theme parks and as a Disney resort guest, you would not be required to pay that theme park parking fee. You only pay the resort parking fee.

Why use me?

I do this because I love it and I want my clients to have those magical experiences that I have had myself. That means that I’m not to going to try and upsell you something you don’t need just so I can get a bonus. What I will do is offer you special events, experiences and make sure you are aware of all of your options but I’m not out to book you the most expensive room available and slap you with too many ticket days that will make your wallet cry.
