WHAT IS LIGHTNING LANE?
Lightning Lane (LL) is a premium entry to rides and attractions at Disney Parks. It is a separate from traditional lines for rides and attractions. LL allows guests to have less wait-times by skipping the regular stand-by line. For example, If Space Mountain has a wait-time of 50 minutes, if you have a LL return time, your wait would be much less. This is not a front-of-the-line access nor does it allow guests to skip any and all lines. When you have a return time for Lightning Lane, you will have a special entry that bypasses most of the switchbacks. There are TWO types of passes you can purchase, A Single Pass and a Multi Pass.
WHAT IS THE MULTI PASS?
When you buy the Lightning Lane Multi Pass in the app, you can make up to 3 LL selections per theme park in advance of your visit. You’ll also be able to choose from available times as you make your selections from your home. Then, on the day of your visit, once you are scanned/ tapped into your ride return time, you can then select another return time. Any Lightning Lane pass is limited to one entry per attraction.
The LL Multi Pass will have two groups of attractions at Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT. There are no groups at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. You can choose one attraction from the first group and two selections from the second group. The tiers ONLY apply to the attractions you pre-book. There are NO groups when doing same-day Lightning Lane bookings.
WHAT IS THE SINGLE PASS?
The most in-demand attractions in each park are not included in a park’s Multi Pass, that is where Single Pass comes in. You can purchase no more than TWO per day (not per park).
Some Single Pass rides, may offer Virtual Que (free). This allows you to be able to ride a top tier ride more than once.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Pricing varies based on when you are traveling. Busier times will be more, Slower times will be less. Check the Disney app to view pricing for a few days to get an idea of what to expect.
You do not have to purchase both passes.
Beginning at 7:00 AM on your eligible day, you’ll have the opportunity to secure up to 3 return times with the Multi Pass and up to 2 Single Passes.
