Theme Park Bag Necessities
You may be thinking that the last thing you want to carry around is a bag while walking around the thousands of acres that make up Walt Disney World but I’m not telling you to bring kitchen sink. Having a lightweight backpack with wide straps is not going to heave on your day. In fact, it will save you time and money by doing this and is more comfortable than carrying a purse across your arm or shoulder. Think about it, What are the basic necessities you have to have on your person? If you are traveling with your family, you may have several phones to take with and with phones come the chargers! Theme Parks can drain the life out of a phone QUICKLY and while there are plenty of outlets in the parks to charge your phone, you still need the cords unless you want to buy one…again.
- Wallet, IDs, Money, Keys (if driving)
- Cell phones and their charging cords
- A good portable charging battery An absolute must, I recommend Anker PowerCore.
- Ziplocks to keep wallets and phones dry for water rides
- Extra pair of Socks.
- Sunscreen
- Depending on the time of year you go, you may need to roll a light weight jacket or cardigan for the evening. Believe or not Florida can get cold at times.
- Snacks for kids to save a few dollars
- Small First Aid Kit. It doesn’t have to be a lot, just a few band aids, some Tylenol and any prescriptions that you may need to take with you.
- Bottles of Water. Bottled water can get steep in price in the parks, but there a a few places that you can refill bottles or ask for iced water at Quick Service locations for free.
- Baby Needs! Diapers, bottles, wet wipes, food etc.
- Tissues
- Misting Fan or Cooling Towel for the hot summer months
- Autograph book and Sharpie pen if your children are meeting characters
- If you vape or smoke, designated smoking areas are outside the parks but having to go back to your resort or car can be a time waster, throw them in your theme park bag
- Hand Sanitizer
- Rain Ponchos or Umbrellas. You can almost guarantee an afternoon shower between 2pm and 4pm during the summer. This is also a great time to have a dining reservation reserved
- Flip Flops. While they might not be the best for walking in all day, if you are going a ride that will get you wet, it wouldn’t hurt to change out your shoes before going on a water ride to avoid squishy shoes for the rest of the days
- Facial Masks!
What are some of your must have items that go in your theme park bag??
