WHAT IS GENIE?
It is a free digital feature, built right into the My Disney Experience app that can help personalize your Disney day providing planning, wait time notifications, recommendations and food reservation with Mobile Ordering.
Disney Genie service will maximize your park time, so you can have more fun. It includes a personalized itinerary feature that will quickly and seamlessly map out an entire day. From specific attractions, foodie experiences and entertainment, to general interests like Disney princesses, villains, Pixar, Star Wars, thrill rides and more – just tell Disney Genie what you want to do and it will do the planning for you.

While Disney Genie is complimentary, there are two available upgrade options for guests to purchase, Genie+ and Individual Selections.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Genie+ is officially a replacement for FastPass, FastPass+, and MaxPass. Pricing will vary by day and park. The lowest prices begin at $15 but can vary up to $30 per person, per day depending on peak season. Genie+ can only be purchased on the day of your visit, you will need to view the cost in the My Disney Experience app for the current pricing on the day of your visit.. Purchasing Genie+ will give you access to the Lightning Lane (the new “FastPass” lanes). Genie+ also offers special PhotoPass lenses, audio stories and behind-the -scenes insights.

However, this gets even more complex when you add the “á la carte” Individual Attraction Selections, another available upgrade option in the MyDisneyExperience app.
WHAT IS THE INDIVIDUAL LIGHTNING LANE?
For certain attractions with high demand (example: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park or Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disney’s Hollywood Studios), there will be an à la carte Lightning Lane selection for purchase, giving you access to a time to arrive at up to two highly demanded attractions each day across multiple theme parks. Pricing for this upgraded Genie service option will vary by date, attraction ride, and theme park but Disney has stated the following:
Prices will vary by date, attraction and park. For example, the Lightning Lane entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be $9 per person on October 19 and $11 per person on October 23. As another example, on both those dates, Lightning Lane entrance to Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain will be $7 per person, while Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance will be $15 per person. Throughout the year, prices may be lower on some days and higher on other days. This option may be purchased at up to 2 different attractions each day.
You do not have to purchase Genie+ in order to purchase Individual Selections.
Beginning at 7:00 AM on the day of your visit, you’ll have the opportunity to secure your first arrival time. You can buy in advance or purchase on the day of your visit.
Individual Selection (á la carte)
You can make one selection at a time throughout the day. Genie+ can be used to reserve one ride at a time throughout the day and Individual Selection Attractions has a limit of two per day. Select the next available time arrival and as soon as you are scanned in for that attraction, you can make your next selection for the next available time for whatever attraction you choose next. You can secure your first arrival window at 7am each day of your theme park visit.
